It is the function of the council to:
- Determines who are surveyors
- Determine what standards of
skill and knowledge are to be attained
by persons seeking to become registered
as members of the profession of
surveying and reviewing those standards
from time to time as circumstances
may require
- securing in accordance with
the provision of the law, the establishment
and maintenance of a register of
persons entitled to practice the
profession and the publication,
from time to time, of lists of
such persons
- regulating and controlling the
practice of the profession in all
its ramifications
- maintaining, in accordance with
the Decree, of discipline within
the profession
- Performing the other functions
conferred upon the council by the
decree
